About us

Built because good therapy was the hardest benefit to get right

Aurelia started with a simple observation: most workplace mental health programmes go unused, not because people don't need them, but because they don't trust them.

Two people in a calm, informal conversation

Our story

A clinician and an HR director, disagreeing productively

Sofia had spent two decades treating people whose difficulties were shaped, at least partly, by their working lives. Jonas had spent ten years buying wellbeing services that looked impressive in a procurement document and were used by fewer than three percent of staff.

What they agreed on was the diagnosis: employees assumed that anything paid for by their employer was, in some way, visible to their employer. Everything else followed from fixing that assumption — real confidentiality, real choice of therapist, and clinicians held to hospital-grade standards.

Today Aurelia supports organisations across Europe, with a network of accredited therapists working in more than fifteen languages.

What we believe

Four commitments we hold ourselves to

Privacy is not a feature

We designed the service so that there is nothing meaningful for an employer to see. That constraint shapes every product decision we make.

Choice over allocation

People do better when they choose their own therapist. We will never assign you to whoever happens to be available.

Clinical quality first

Our clinical board sets the standards for admission, supervision and ongoing review. Commercial pressure does not override them.

Honest about limits

Therapy is not a fix for an unmanageable workload. We tell employers that plainly, and we tell you too.
